Effective date: 5 March 2026. This is a legal agreement between you and Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault governing your use of the Gun Vault mobile application.
This EULA governs your use of the Gun Vault app on iOS and Android, including account services, firearm and license management, map/location features (shooting ranges, shops, gunsmiths), user content, social features (follow/unfollow), push notifications, and subscription features.
This EULA applies in addition to the terms of the app store from which you downloaded the app (including Apple App Store and/or Google Play). If there is a conflict, the app store's mandatory terms control only to the extent required.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and legally capable of entering into this agreement.
If you use the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" includes that organisation.
Subject to your ongoing compliance with this EULA, Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App for lawful, internal, non-commercial purposes.
The license is granted, not sold. No ownership rights are transferred. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault and its licensors reserve all rights not expressly granted.

You are responsible for account credentials, all activity under your account, and maintaining accurate profile information.
You must promptly notify Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault of unauthorised access or security incidents. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may suspend or terminate access where misuse, security risk, fraud, legal exposure, or policy violations are reasonably suspected.
"User Content" includes text, reviews, images, firearm records, license records, activity logs, location submissions, profile content, and other materials you submit. You retain ownership of User Content, but grant Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting/safety/compliance), adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise process User Content to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Service.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights and permissions needed for User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may (but is not obligated to) review, moderate, remove, disable, or restrict any User Content at its sole discretion, including in response to reports, legal requests, safety concerns, or policy enforcement.
You acknowledge that ratings, reports, and moderation outcomes may affect content visibility and account standing.
The App may store information about firearms, licenses, activities, and locations such as shooting ranges and shops. This data is provided for personal record-keeping and convenience only.
THE APP IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR OFFICIAL FIREARM REGISTRIES, LEGAL COMPLIANCE SYSTEMS, OR PROFESSIONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT. Information stored in the App, including license expiry dates, location details, and amenity data, may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.
You are solely responsible for: (a) maintaining compliance with all applicable firearm laws and regulations; (b) verifying the accuracy of any firearm, license, or location information; (c) ensuring proper firearm safety practices at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault disclaims liability for any loss, injury, legal action, or other harm arising from reliance on information stored or displayed in the App.
The App may include follow/unfollow, profile discovery, content sharing, and notification features. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault does not guarantee user identity, truthfulness, conduct, or safety.
Certain features are subscription-gated (for example, additional firearm and license capacity, location discovery, and advanced features). In-app subscriptions are processed by Apple and/or Google, not by Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault directly. Payment, renewal, cancellation, refund, and tax handling are governed by the applicable app store terms and your store account settings.
Unless cancelled through your app store account, subscriptions may auto-renew. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may change plans, features, pricing, or eligibility prospectively, subject to applicable law and platform rules. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may revoke or adjust access to paid features where fraud, abuse, payment reversal, or technical entitlement errors occur.
Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge the Service processes account identifiers, profile data, content uploads, device token data, notification preferences, subscription metadata, and location-related data necessary to provide features. Where required by law, Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
The App may rely on third-party services and SDKs (including map providers, cloud messaging/push systems, app store billing, and infrastructure services). Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault is not responsible for third-party service availability, performance, security, policies, or acts/omissions.
The App, including all software, design, branding, APIs, and non-user content, is owned by Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault and its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. "Gun Vault" names, logos, and related marks are Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault property unless otherwise indicated.
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use and exploit it without restriction or compensation.
This EULA starts when you first use the App and continues until terminated. You may terminate by deleting your account (where available), uninstalling the App, and ceasing use.
Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may suspend, limit, or terminate access immediately for breach, legal risk, abuse, security incidents, non-payment, suspected fraud, or required compliance actions. On termination, your license ends immediately. Provisions that by nature survive will survive, including IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and miscellaneous provisions.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION.
COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, TIMELY, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATTHEW GUERREIRO TRADING AS GUN VAULT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATTHEW GUERREIRO TRADING AS GUN VAULT'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP OR THIS EULA WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM; OR (b) ZAR 200.
Nothing in this EULA excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of this EULA or applicable law; or (d) your infringement or misappropriation of third-party rights.
You may not use or export the App in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent you are not in a prohibited jurisdiction and are not a restricted party.
Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may update this EULA from time to time. Material changes may be notified by in-app notice, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance, to the extent permitted by law.
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
Subject to the arbitration clause below, disputes will be resolved exclusively in courts located in South Africa, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Company Election of Arbitration: At Company's sole election, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this EULA or the App may be referred to final and binding arbitration administered in South Africa under rules selected by Company and lawful at the time the arbitration is commenced. If Company elects arbitration, you agree to cooperate in good faith to complete all procedural requirements for the referral and conduct of arbitration.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may apply and prevail where required.
This EULA is between you and Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligations with respect to the App and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.
This EULA, together with any incorporated policies (including the Privacy Policy), is the entire agreement between you and Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault regarding the App. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this EULA without Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault's prior written consent. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault may assign this EULA in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets. Matthew Guerreiro trading as Gun Vault is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control. You consent to receive electronic notices and records.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and use of any data you submit, upload, store, publish, transmit, or otherwise make available through the software, applications, or services.
Certain data you enter (including sites, amenities, ratings, media, and reviews) may be public for the benefit of all users. You acknowledge and agree that public data may be viewed, copied, shared, indexed, or used by others, and that you remain solely responsible for such content.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the software, applications, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer and any associated companies will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential loss, damage, cost, or expense of any kind (including loss of data, profit, revenue, goodwill, business interruption, or legal costs) arising out of or related to your use, misuse, inability to use, or reliance on the software, applications, or services, whether based in contract, delict/tort, strict liability, statute, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
By accessing or using the software, applications, or services, you agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer and any associated companies, and their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, penalties, fines, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including legal fees on an attorney-and-own-client scale, where permitted) arising from or relating to: (a) your access to or use of the software, applications, or services; (b) your misuse or inability to use them; (c) your data or content; (d) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (e) any breach of these terms.
You agree that the developer may assume exclusive control of the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you will cooperate fully with such defense at your own cost.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you irrevocably release, waive, and discharge the developer and any associated companies from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising from or related to your use, misuse, inability to use, or reliance on the software, applications, or services, and you covenant not to sue or initiate legal recourse against them in connection with such matters.
If any provision of this policy is held unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted to the maximum extent enforceable and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. All indemnities, liability exclusions, waivers, and releases survive suspension, termination, or discontinuation of your use of the software, applications, or services.
By continuing to access or use the software, applications, or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy and its legal terms.
